Privacy Policy

Snaptle (“we”, “us”) is a companion app for Snapchat creators to arrange shoutout-for-shoutout and streak-for-streak connections. We are built around data minimization: we collect only what is needed to run matching, moderation, and safety, and we never sell your personal data.

Information we collect

Account & profile. Your email address (for sign-in), Snapchat username/display name, birthdate (used only for an 18+ age gate), gender, country, optional city, interests, languages, profile prompts, and any social handles you choose to add.

Photos. Profile photos you upload. Each is screened by an automated content-moderation service before it can appear.

Selfie verification (optional). If you opt in to the “verified” badge, you take a selfie that is compared against your approved profile photos. The selfie is deleted immediately after the check; we retain only the pass/fail result, never the image or any biometric template.

Location (optional). If you turn it on, we use a coarse, one-time location to show you nearby creators. Coordinates are fuzzed before storage and only an approximate region/city label is ever shown to others. You can turn it off at any time.

Activity. Swipes, matches, messages, shoutout check-ins, ratings, reputation, streaks, and Sparks (an in-app virtual currency).

Device. A push-notification token (if you enable notifications) and basic technical data needed to operate the service.

How we use it

To authenticate you, build your profile, surface and rank matches, power chat and shoutout check-ins, calculate reputation and leaderboards, moderate content, prevent abuse, and keep the community safe. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We share limited data with infrastructure providers strictly to operate the app: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), a content-moderation provider for photo screening, an image-comparison provider for optional selfie verification, and Apple Push Notification service for notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective terms.

Retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can edit your profile and discovery settings at any time, and you can delete your account from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) — see our account deletion page. Deletion permanently removes your profile, photos, matches, and messages. Depending on your region you may also have rights to access, correct, or port your data; contact us to exercise them.

Children

Snaptle is strictly for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and accounts that fail the age gate are removed.
